Why Does Time Feel Faster as We Get Older?

This thought-provoking reel delves into the mysterious sensation that time speeds up with age. It begins by contrasting youthful summers with adult years that seem to vanish in a blink. The video then explores theories such as simple proportion, where each year feels like a smaller fraction of life. It also examines how childhood is filled with novel experiences recorded in rich detail, making those early years feel longer in retrospect. As we age, routines become less memorable, leading to the perception that time passes more quickly. The reel concludes by touching on scientific theories about brain chemistry and the elusive nature of explaining this phenomenon fully. Ideal for anyone curious about human psychology and the passage of time.
